A dance course introducing children and adults to Awasa, Aleke and Banamba.

A special dance course will soon introduce participants to the rich traditions of Maroon dance. Awasa is central to the course: an expressive dance style that radiates strength, joy and community. The course will begin once enough people have registered. Register now to reserve your place and be the first to receive an update.

Alongside Awasa, you will encounter other Maroon dance styles such as Aleke and Banamba, each with its own rhythms and movements. The course concludes with an informal presentation for family and friends.

For whom?: Children aged 4 and over and adults.
When?: Once enough participants have registered, the course will start on Wednesday and/or Friday by mutual agreement. Please include your availability when registering.
Location: Magbon, Mathenesserdijk 293, 3026 GB Rotterdam.
Price: €85 for children and €125 for adults for a 6–7 week course.
